WHAT IS CROSSWOOD?
FIFTEEN YEARS AGO
Because of the generosity of a handful of caring people, nearly fifteen years ago the purchase of land at the corner of U.S. 20 and 1-69 near Angola, Indiana became a reality. The two acres of land was full of trees, crowding a piece of hilly landscape. Because of all those woods and because the primary use of the property was deemed to be welcoming suffering people who wished their lives to be patterned in the cross of Christ-well, the name Crosswood seemed obvious at the time.
NOW
Because of the generosity of yet another small handful of people, Crosswood moved from near Angola, Indiana to near Auburn, Indiana in January, 2005. No hills now. Not many trees (though a generous member of the community wants to remedy that situation soon). But we now have ten acres of land and plenty of buildings. We call our new space Crosswood Centre.
